Some thoughts on the process~ I've always found the bridge between lineart and painting very interesting, and very difficult. I sorta switch between the two in this one because it's very hard to create a convincing glow when there's a hard boundary at an objects edge. Similarly when stuff gets dark, lineart stops working like it should. Either way, by sticking to largely flat colours in my painted areas, the transitions sorta blend away and you're left with something that, to me, reads as painted.
