ROI 2 Event Illustration

I made the cover illustration for Genius Academy's Second ROI Event!

ROI stands for the Researcher Of Ideas; and our little protagonist here is quite literally 'world building' in his workshop.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at the first event where I gave a lecture and demo on Sketching. Now I eagerly await the next event which has some incredible speakers (included my lovely lads Axel Sauerwald and Mathias Osland). I will of course be attending ;).

ALSO they are currently running a Golden Ticket style competition, deadline is January 29th so I'd start working on it now! (I will be one of the three judges)

I worked a lot harder on this illustration than I had planned so I hope you like it. I've also compiled my process here to give some insight into the thought process when making it. My biggest struggle was adapting to the 3D that I had made, which was okay in some respects, but also required so much reworking that I started to doubt if it was worth the time investment :P
