Inktober 2020
Boy was I glad when October came to an end.
I started with the ambition to create a complete mini-narrative that I would simply make up as I went. I immediately set the quality and detail bar too high with my first drawings and suffered because of it.
I was also set on this being a 'true inktober'. I sketched ideas out in pencil on the left hand side of each double page spread, then proceeded to execute directly in ink on the opposite page. You can see all the sketches in corresponding order at the bottom of this post.
After digitising all of my drawings I added some simple airbrushing of white an black to add some lighting information that could help the story flow from page to page better. (whilst I'd have loved to do more pages in that full inky darkness, it simply took far too much time)
Anyway, hopefully the story reads reasonably well; just ignore all the bad stuff, and it's good!
